Cycling tour

From the hill to the wineyards, the cyclingtrails invites you to discover a full range of the landscape of our area.

Level

Easy. Possible wiht ordinary bike or electric bike.

Cycling time

30 to 64 km per stage. 200 m of made uneven.

Dates

Arrival possible every day of the week and weekend from 2 April to 15 November. Outside these dates and for long weekends with public holidays, please contact us beforehand to ensure availability.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED

Rain protection, small back pack for your daily needs, bicycle (bike rental or bike with electric assistance, possible on request, payment on site directly at the bike rental company), reusable water bottle and cutlery.

  • 4 nights with breakfast
  • 2 dinners in half-board (drinks not included) (2 free dinners not included in the price)
  • 3 lunch-packs
  • 1 road file (maps and itineraries) available at your first hotel
  • transfer go and return from the nearest railway station to your hotel OR car park

ITINERARY

Planned according to your imperatives of arrival dates you (at any time of the year) subject to availability in the hotels. In all cases the organisers will contact you before your arrival to confirm your choices.

Day 1: Welcome in Kaysersberg, mediaeval city dominated by the imposing imperial castle
Day 2: Ribeauvillé and Riquewihr, jewels of Alsatian traditional architecture. Kientzheim, ancient fortified town surrounded by ramparts in the middle of the vineyards.
Day 3: Munster, the gate of another Valley, Turckheim, Niedermorschwihr, villages nested in the middle of the vineyard.
Day 4: Illhauesern, Guémar and Ostheim, across fields and cultures.
Day 5: End of the trip after the breakfast.
